Why are the questions about the child database so important?

Some may possibly still be wondering why the Tynwald questions (previous post) are worthy of such note. The point is that records about you and your children and other family members are being kept on a secret database. How can you ascertain whether or not the details are correct if you are unaware that records even exist? The data collection was implemented, following denials that it would be introduced, in secret. This sort of behaviour is reminiscent of Stasi East Germany or the USSR. However, the question also arises: Who watches the watchers?

The following link gives an insight into why we must be aware of what goes on: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/7870342/Forced-adoption-is-a-truly-dreadful-scandal.html

Couldn’t happen here? Where do our practices and personnel come from?
