Europe’s nations should be guided towards the superstate without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose but that will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation.”
— Jean Monnet, the founder of the EU.
Get it? The guys in control are not necessarily good. Yet they pull the strings. Ever wondered what would happen if we refused to comply with the US sanctions? There is a possibility that we in turn could be threatened with sanctions. Similarly, what would happen if we refused to co-operate with all the EU red tape? Trading implications? What about the countries outside of the EU? They don’t have to comply.
I’m also curious about the new luggage handling stipulations. What happens to baggage entering the EU from countries like Turkey? What on earth is the luggage thing about anyway? (Please leave a comment if you can explain). There have been no recent terrorist attacks to speak of. Are these guys all obediently waiting until full security is in place? Those who lived in the UK through the period of the “troubles” in Northern Ireland may well recall that we just got on with life. Were people made of sterner stuff then or were they simply not dumbed down to the extent that they lived in permanent fear and relied on others to protect them?
I for one do not feel safer with all the controls in place. I know that my personal freedoms are being eroded. How about you?
