It’s pleasing to note that DAFF is promoting Manx produce at three different locations this year:
To take part, the Department asks that all produce sold is grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked or smoked in the Isle of Man or, where processed, contains local produce. “Local” means produce from the Isle of Man.
This has to be good news. A niche where the Isle of Man can really shine. Having thwarted water fluoridation plans we are in the happy position of having relatively uncontaminated ground. Long may it remain so. GM would put an end to this and must be opposed at every level. None of these sneaky little trials such as those proposed in Eire.
We have something special and exceptional here. Protection is vital.
