THE IRISH DON’T TAKE THINGS LYING DOWN

It’s sometimes too easy to forget that the present financial situation all boils down to bankers dodgy deals. The public was told they must pay for this. It was not our fault. Both Greeks and Irish are seeing suicides resulting from total despair. However, the Irish won’t take it lying down. Ben Gilroy asks us to wake up to who is really pulling the strings.

Oh yeh. I forgot – our situation was caused by a massive miscalculation, yet to be explained. Something about this whole thing seems odd and most puzzling to me is the fact that government seems to wave aside discussion of the situation. It appears that we must accept the fact that the money is no longer there. The message seems to be: Don’t probe. We’re paying up.

Who was responsible for (mis)managing things? It wasn’t us.
